Chuck Taylor eventually became a salesman and the ambassador of the Converse All Star (which was eventually renamed to Chuck Taylor All Star in honor of his legendary feat).

With Chuck Taylor and his Converse All Stars, he led multiple basketball showdowns all over the United States promoting the shoes. Come the 1930s, Converse All Star became the premier basketball shoe of most players in America.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star transitioned from the hardwood courts to the streets as it became another iconic lifestyle sneaker. Though it’s not up to the standard of basketball shoes we have today, Converse revived the silhouette that’s specified for basketball with the All Star Pro BB.

In 2003, Nike bought Converse. The former incorporated some of their modern tech on the classic Chucks, but nothing beats the original.
